6 Things That Improve My Life

32 oz. Hydroflask

I am horrible at drinking enough water. I’m one of those people who, when busy at work, becomes hyper focused. I forget about all things including drinking enough water! When in the zone but thirsty I tell myself, ”I’ll get a cup of H2O once I’m done with this.” That can sometimes mean in 3-4 hours! Working on giving myself breaks is one thing but at least my 32 oz. Hydroflask filled to the brim solves my dehydration.

Oil Cleansing

Where have I been?! I can’t believe I slept on this trend for the past few years!

The thing about me is that I’m more of a minimalist when it comes to self care. I cannot be bothered with a long routine so I tend to do the least. But something came over me last month and I decided to get a facial. It was my first facial in about 7 years so my skin was long over due for some TLC. My esthetician tried her best to get my stubborn blackheads out but a lot of them wouldn’t budge. So she recommended an oil cleanse for my combination skin.

I picked up One Love Organics’ Botanical B Enzyme Cleansing Oil and it has changed my skin! My pores look cuter and not so clogged up! Not to mention oil cleansing really minimized my break outs!

30 minute yoga sessions

Okay, confession… I don’t do this every day. But I should. Since converting to WFH life at the start of the pandemic with a mix of poor work life balance my once-able-late-20s-body developed sciatica. Doing squats with weights always ended with sharp pain shooting up and down my legs. The cure? Being more active.

I started out following Yoga with Adriene’s youtube video specifically for sciatica. After 3 sessions my sciatic pain went away. Physical activity is so important and it’s something we have to remind ourselves to do. Even on days when we don’t feel up for it. I always find myself feeling happier afterwards.

Ergonomic Work Chair

This was something I refused to splurge on but I’m so glad I did. The first two years of quarantine and WFH life I worked mainly from my dining chair and table. Did that give me a stiff back and neck? Of course. When I finally pulled the trigger my back aches weren’t so constant and it felt amazing to have a proper office set up.

Glow Recipe’s Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum

This item has become my holy grail. My skin had not responded as positively to any hyaluronic serum until I met the Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum. It penetrated my skin so well and made me realize I broke out often because my skin was lacking water rather than oil. Bye bye pimpies!

Libby App

Did you know you can access library books via Libby? I have the app on both my iPhone and iPad and it has been a game changer for me. I used to always buy new physical books to read and while I love having a physical copy, books take up a lot of space! By signing up for an eLibrary card and linking it to Libby I can read so many books for free. And on top of that, I don’t feel bad spending so much time on my phone because I’m reading!

Happy reading!
